Each one of these drabbles is a jewel of Simaril status. In them, every member of the Fellowship is in-character, and a surprising amount of emotion and/or action is packed into just one hundred words each. The reader is given clear indications as to why Aragorn deserves to be king. Gandalf is at his wizardly best, always focusing on what is important. The friendship of Gimli and Legolas begins to develop. Boromir initially is puzzled and exasperated as to why the seemingly-childish hobbits, Merry and Pippin, were allowed to be part of the Fellowship, but he comes to see so much in them that later he willingly gives his life to protect them. In my favorite among these excellent drabbles, Frodo is momentarily tempted by the false comfort of the Ring, only to be given true comfort in the form of Sam's faithful friendship. Each chapter ranges from the serious to the most amusing, is very well written, and is a delight to read.

-- Hello Darkover, 'Each one of these drabbles is a jewel of Simaril status.' Wow, what an honour! I almost teared up when I read that, honestly. I am humbled that you think so highly of 'Fellowship', particularly because writing those drabbles was a cathartic experience that helped me through my writer's block. Luckily, it wasn't difficult to find good points in each character to write about - they are all so wonderful. The hardest task was trying to select just one aspect of each character and portray it fully in a mere one hundred words ... I'm telling you, I never realised just how difficult that was before; it's harder (at times) than writing a full-length fic! So I take my hat off to each and every fellow author who manages it on a consistent basis. And I am truly thrilled that you enjoyed my attempts to emulate their skill. Thank you very, very much for R & R-ing ;)

I enjoyed this piece very much. Such an insight to the members of the Fellowship. This was a Job Well done..Not many of these to go around. Keep up the good work.

-- Hello haldirsbaby, thanks very much for the kind feedback :o) Drabbles were never my strong point before, but after almost a year of writer's block, they seemed to be about the only thing I could write ... Bonkers, eh? I'm glad you enjoyed these glimpses of the Fellowship. Thanks again for R & R-ing!

A lovely series of drabbles which capture a key moment during the quest for each member of the Fellowship. I especially enjoyed those devoted to Aragorn and the Hobbits.
