I love this story. It's very sad, yet very good and well-written. I can't imagine that it can be all that easy writing a death scene with Aragorn, but you did an awesome job here. He loves and is so proud of his son; and he so much wants to leave his heir with that knowledge and to remind him of what it means to be an excellent leader: someone all his sujects can look up to, also love and be proud of, as Aragorn is himself. It is so important to the King that Eldarion has respect for his people and cares deeply for them and their problems and plights. A people who are made to feel that way would adore and follow a leader into whatever troubles may come to the Kingdom, for the man and their friend. I really feel like Eldarion already cares, with a teacher and father like Aragorn to help him. I know he will treat his subjects as good friends and family. Aragorn does too. with Legolas and Gimli there to help out, how can he lose. Awesome, story, Sivan!!

Not entirely accurate, but an uplifting tale all the same, full of family dynamics and last regrets; a believable death-scene for another man, perhaps.

A touching moment between a father and a son as the father imparts one last word of wisdom before dying, the only gift he can truly give to his child. Beautifully written.

Didn't really warrant the AU aspect, but I liked the final words between father and son. ["Is that what makes me a good king?" "No, it will make you a better king..."]
