I love Faramir pieces, and this one is particularly good. Faramir's first feverish visitor was, of course, his father, and Denethor in his madness set the tone for the rest of the story. Aragorn's arrival was like a breath of fresh air, and I love the way he talks Faramir through his misgivings and calls him back to life. Very good understanding of characters and especially of the healing nature in Aragorn.

Oh, I was hoping for just that ending. As all were laying blame on him and burying him in self-loathing, I hoped it was his suffering under the Black Breath and/or Morgul wound. Very powerful, indeed, are the weapons of the enemy, but I like how this explains how Faramire knew Aragorn for his king when he awoke.

Tough space to write in, Faramir's dreams just before Aragorn heals him. I found Finduilas somehow the most horrific, perhaps because she seems the most untouched (no flesh falling off bones and burning or rotting, etc.) until the bloodstains become apparent.
