Something very endearing about this poem. I think it's the almost asides that are cast in such as, "Still, off you go," as Elrond sends the Fellowship forth. They really made the poem for me.

I read this one a long time ago and enjoyed it quite a bit! I hadn't yet ever tried to write a parody so I was quite impressed with this one. I still am.

Wonderful! This poem/filk had the high feeling of a Victorian carol, yet it was still hilarious. I have to admit to laughing out loud at the description of Legolas as a "smug git". And very well done on the rhyme of Boromir/palantir/Faramir - that especially worked particularly well.

Hysterical retelling of LOTR. The parenthetical comments were always the final nudge that made for laughter rather than simple smirking.
