Gimli does indeed need a dwarf to come home to, and I very much liked the one he chose. Seeing the rest of the Fellowship through her eyes was a treat, particularly the hobbits with their many children and Legolas, who is both a concern and a curiosity to the new bride. I loved the way Galadriel's gift was addressed, and how Gimli so easily walks the line between dwarven customs and elven influence. It seems to come naturally to him now, and I like the development of his character in this direction.

Well, despite being a romance, I liked it. I liked the worries of the bride-to-be, as they are logical for a Dwarf, especially her worry over his friendship with an Elf. And Galadriel's hairs.

Good, good, good. Gimli gets a dwarven bride inclusive facial fluffy hair. Well rendered insecurities of the bride and convincingly done assurances by Gimli who compares his love for Galadriel with the love for a mother.
