This little story warms the heart. Faramir and Arwen have become good friends. I like the reminiscence of both and that even good memories can be a burden. It is a great idea that Faramir could live through part of the quest through letters Boromir wrote.

I like the idea of those ashes finding their way home. That was the best part, hard as it was for Aragorn to do, but a loving act amidst the pain. I also liked Aragorn's reasoning in the first part about bringing bread along. I also liked the thought that Faramir knew much of his brother's travels through the journal Boromir kept. That would be a treasure to have.

A gentle, sweet tale that seems to exemplify the peace so hard-won in this Fourth Age. I loved the Arwen-Faramir interactions. A great read at the end of the day!
