Nice view of the brothers, don't read much about Aegnor or Angrod and your descriptions of their deaths was touching without being overly emotional. One small note-a few typos and it's orcs, not orc's and balrogs, not balrog's for plurals.

Right off, you set a scene of peace and beauty, and then you proceed to utterly rip it apart. Nice. In this story, the Dagor Bragollach seems more than merely an attack on elves; it seems an attack on Arda herself. Still, the elves here mount a solid defense. I just love this line: "I am ready. Let it come, let them all come." That Aegnor, what an elf.

Interesting tale that seems as driven by its environment as it is by its events. The descriptions of Dorthonion are very good, and I like how it seems peaceful at first but the taint of darkness is never far away, even if the elves try to ignore it. The descriptions keep pace with the actions, and in the end, the land is as ruined as the elves who tried to defend it. Great descriptive work!

What I like about this author is her ability to make the story "come alive". Her skills in creating a vivid and emotive scene are intriguing. Not only does she take her reader through the oncoming battle, but she individualizes how the characters respond to the situation at hand. Throughout the fiction she has weaved lyrics that echo what is befalling the characters. I felt the tension and the suspense at their waiting for battle. I could see the shadow encroaching on the land. In my opinion, this author allows her readers to go on the journey with her characters and that keeps them intrigued and wanting more. As the climax occurs the reader has become so invested in the characters that it is hard to read what is going to and eventually what does happen to them I highly recommend this story.
