It's interesting to me to see so many interpretations of how elves handle death. Well done with this one!

The emotions in this fic felt very real, and I love the explanation given for the difference between Legolas and his companions at Gandalf's apparent death. Legolas feels he will see Gandalf again in the West, and so the loss is not the same for him as it is for the others. Good eye for details and good ability to dive into the emotions of the characters.

Alas, but they didn't put it in the movies. I remember reading it the first time thinking Pippin had died the way Tolkien ended that chapter. Nice story depicting Legolas's adaptations to things of mortals.

Poor Legolas! This story really made me feel sorry for Legolas' immortality. I liked how the story was told in his voice, and the thoughts that he has are very true to character.
