In bookverse of course Frodo moved to Crickhollow, and Crickhollow was destroyed by the Nazgul. As bad as that was, Frodo never had to dea with spoilt milk and moldy bread and moth-infested sheets. In movieverse of course he did, but that thought had never occurred to me. You did a good job of getting across the nitty-gritty of that situation here. Beyond that, you made sense of a section of movieverse that always seemed to me like it was full of plot holes. You explained some things that always bothered me (such as how Frodo knew he could sail West), and connected it with bookverse in other regards -- i.e. getting Sam and Rosie into Bag End. The Quenya script on Elrond's letter was a particularly nice touch. All around, this was a very interesting and entertaining reconciliation of bookverse and movieverse.

This story is a nicely done examination of the work, and obsession which must have gone into turning the cluttered Bag End of before the Quest into the almost barren hole we see afterwards, and a nice exploration of Frodo's motives too. Well done!

An interesting addition. I like the way you have wound your narative around events shown in the film. You have added depth to those scenes.
