Bodkin has a style that tells an entire story with layered characters and story using a minimum of words. It is refreshing to read, and I often tell myself that I need to study her ability to do that and learn it myself. She remains true to her canon characters and keeps 'in-character' while staying true to the flavour of Tolkien's world and style.
