Shadow975 can crack open a scene and make its contradictions into virtues. She excels at putting two characters together through the use of contrasting monologues. These monologues are a wealth of psychological insight; her characterization, even when I disagree with it, is very thorough and well-drawn.

I don't think I've read many stories by Shadow975, but every time I read one of hers, I am touched or moved in some way. She writes low-key but poignant and brings us into the characters in a wonderful way.

I don know that I've seen a lot of Shadow975's writing, but the representative we have here in the Men category is enough to tell me that she si a very good writer, with a real feeling for the characters and a thorough knowledge of the lore behind her story.

What really sets Shadow975 apart in this category with the entered story is the ability to tell this particular tale in a new manner. The story involves Boromir leaving for Imladris with Faramir wondering why it's the older son and not the younger who is leaving. It's been done time and again in fanfiction. There are some good version of it out there, but even after a while, good version begin to sound redundant. This story doesn't. It takes the familiar themes and then twists them, giving Faramir the forthrightness and Boromir the thoughtfulness. And it makes these characterizations work, which is what really sold me on it. Very good story telling, especially considering how often this story is told.

Stories: The Eyes Of An Enemy
Bravo! Shadow975 can write a moment better than some can write a novel. Many of us try to get into the heads of the Fellowhip, but fewer take on the Orcs and Uruk-Hai and fewer still do both with equal talent.

This author does a wonderful job of jumping into the heads of both Uruk and Man? her style is to the point but not simple.
