This tale strikes me as both lovely and terribly sad.... The characterizations here are lovely. Alex has a great eye for such details, and she uses language skillfully... The concept of Celeborn captivated by both of these lovely Noldor is engaging, and I loved the bit at the end where he prays every night for those two things.... *sob!* Thank you, Alex, for this lovely piece of work!

This is a story that tugs at the heartstrings - a keeper - one to bookmark and read over and over. Finrod's tearful narration of the kinslaying to Celeborn is beautifully written, as is the whole story. What a heart-rending choice Celeborn has to make and live with for all of eternity. The last line had me reaching for the tissue. A lovely, lovely, poignant and memorable tale of ill-fated and inopportune love. Definitely well worth the read!

It's really a wonder to me that any of the first age elves wanted to live. Their lives seemed so sad and dark. I'm glad you gave Finrod a little light in the form of Celeborn. And I hope that Galadriel forgave him as well. I have a feeling Celeborn had room in his heart for lots of loves.
