My favorite part of this story is when the viewpoint shifted and became Gandalf's rather than Cirdan's. Cirdan was so very elven at that moment, and I loved the deliberation in determining where Narya should go. I also liked his firm believe that Saruman should NOT get the ring. I wonder just how much he saw. And fascinating idea that Sauron would go for Narya first among all the Three, even though it was the furthest away. Great concepts throughout, and great characterization of Cirdan.

I really thought this was very well written. It's just the kind of thing I would write and therefore it is nice that someone has got there first and done such a good job. I do like how you played off the geographical opposition with the opposition in Cirdan's mind. I also admired the way in which you captured your characters. I have a bit of a soft spot for Gandalf and it was lovely to see him done well.
