Each of these vignettes is great, but I think I love them each for their own separate reason. The first one, which has Maedhros proposing to Galadriel, the comedy is genius. I laughed out loud when Galadriel recounted how each of Feanor's sons (save Maglor) had proposed. And the hints of Galadriel's relationship with Feanor was also well done. Then there's the second one, where Nerdanel speaks with Maedhros. That brief reference to bonding between males was wonderfully done. Shades of "Passages" there, but you've boiled it down to her essence. And Nerdanel is characterised so well, I can see someone who would marry Feanor would be one to take risks and defy convention. And then the last one, where Feanor finds out much and confronts his wife, was spectacular because it was so empowering of Nerdanel. Her answers made perfect sense -- but to see a woman stand up to a character as strong as Feanor, and come out on top, was a real treat. All in all, these vignettes are very well done. Thank you for treating the rammifications of a homosexual relationship seriously, and making it more three-dimensional than is often done in slash stories. This was a real pleasure to read.
