Oh! I'd forgotten how terribly sad I felt when I read this the first time. Sirgon's death made me sniffle again, even though in the long run, it was probably better, or he might have died of grief anyway. He had already come to the conclusion that he would not be able to have the relationship with Legolas that he really wanted. In fact, he'd damaged the one he did have, and there was probably little chance that he'd have gotten that back, let alone more. But still, what a waste for him to die too. I think Elladan and Elrohir did a great job explaining things to Legolas, though it's becoming more obvious that Elrohir has deep feelings for him.

Like all of Eresse's work, this is well written though really sad the tale of unrequited love. She has a real affection and feeling for the characters and establishes a wonderful relationship between them all.
