AuntieMeesh gives us a beautiful little and fluffy Merry tale as a faunt. Even when they are so small, the urge to snack is always present and I was pleasantly surprised that after the sneaking of Merry he was caught by Frodo. What seemed a crawl in the bushes now turned out to be sneaking in the hall of Bag End! AuntieMeesh has this writing talent to write this story from a little child's perspective and tenderly shifts the point of view to Frodo who takes care of this little hobbit in a tender way. For me this little story was too short and yet not: a beautiful story AuntieMeesh, very enjoyable.

I love little Merry stories and this one was so sweet and so funny. Every word was a delight and I could see Merry doing this as a young child so that made it all the more entertaining. There are quite a few young Pippin stories out there but not as many young Merry tales and I was very glad to find this one. Another great story and a very entertaining read.

This is a sweet story. I love how the opening sequence shows Merry's thought process as he sneaks around, and how Frodo eventually catches him. Frodo is a wonderful older cousin here, and I like how he looks after Merry and sees that he's fed and returned to his bed.

A really sweet little bit of fluff-- wee!Merry out to raid the larder, and older cousin Frodo there to catch him at it. Very much in character!

I like the idea that, even this young, Merry's mind was already turning to thoughts of adventure. Interesting that Frodo would play the part of Gollum/Smaug in Merry's imagination. Good little bit of foreboding.
