*snerk* Sam and Merry roped into a little girls tea party! Mwahahaha how rich! I can just picture big brother Sam and how embarrassed he would be to have his friend find him. Good thing Merry is a good sport. I thought Id laugh myself silly at the eavesdropping adults too. It is so sweet of Gandalf to take pity on grumbling bellies and to feed the poor starving little Hobbit lads. Cute story!!

Awww what an incredible cute story. Sam knows how to indulge Marigold and her tea party, but Merry is trying very hard to do the same. Just the phrase: Hes a wizard, Sam. He knows *everything*! Made me laugh so hard, the looks on their faces when Gandalf lowered the plate into the Lilac Bushes is simply priceless. A great story Dreamflower, very fluffy and enjoyable!

What a sweet and lovely tale! Merry and Sam as wee children--and little Marigold is a scene stealer! I had to laugh at Merry thinking both Marigold and Pervinca being so bossy. Loved it!

Here is a delightful piece of fluff from the time when Merry and Sam are still young enough to be rooked into playing tea-party with Marigold. The reactions of the grownups are believable, and the reaction from the children is priceless!

This is so sweet! I love the picture of them playing under the bush, Marigold bossing them about, with the adults listening in.
