A story that needed to be told. A glimpes of Galadriel's childhood, her mother telling how she fell for her father in Valinor. The author writes a beautiful story around the Noldo elves on Valinor, making you longing for more stories around that time. I appreciated the hint that Galadriel had foresight, this detail makes the story special.

Cute story about happy times in the lives of Finarfin, his wife Earwen and Artanis. Even the most powerful elves need a respite from angst and drama. Good use of elven wedding customs, and the frame gives the perfect excuse for Earwen to reminisce. Nice foreshadowing at the end, too.

Sweet. I love picturing little Artanis listening to her own parents' description of their meeting and marriage - and dreaming of her own future. Shame this happiness cannot last!
