These are really nice, the voices in each just perfect. I liked them all, particularly Bilbo and Frodo's, but I most especially liked Merry and Pippin's. I liked very much that they shared a drabble between them, and the content was so well chosen! My favourite line of the whole series was their closing one -"Merry kisses Pippin and dreams of treasure." It might be intended as slashy, or it might be intended as brotherly, but either way it just seems such a fitting line, and the treasure that Merry dreams of might be gold and jewels, inspired by the dragon firework, or it might be Pippin himself that is Merrys treasure. Either way the reader interprets it, it is a beautiful line!

I like this drabble series a lot. Blackbirdsong writes the four drabbles in such a clever manner, that they really belong together and yet can be read seperately. I like the author's characterisation, they are very strong, Tolkienlike and on top of all: very hobbity! The author has a gift of writing very compelling dialogue that is very enjoyable to read. A great series of Drabbles Blackbirdsong, thank you for sharing them with us!

I enjoyed what all the different hobbits were dreaming off. It seemed to be very indicative of their personalities. And I liked the fact that they all seemed to be doing something that they felt to be more important than bed. Well, most of them, anyway. It shows their determination, something they'll all need later on. Good writing.

Enjoyed them all but was especially fond of the Merry and Pippin clean up after the fireworks. Just too funny and too sweet.

Lovely and gentle. I like the echoing last lines, especially Bilbo's!
