A lovely drabble, showing the wonderful Glorfindel in all his glory. Alas that we don't know much about him except for his death in the Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales, and his rescue of Frodo in LotR. (Yes, I am a staunch believer in one reborn Glorfindel). This poignant drabble does a great job of showing Aragorn's relief at seeing help arrive, too.

Very nice view of Glorfindel through the eyes of Aragorn. I suspect he would have been a very welcome visitor at that point - Aragorn, in spite of his Dunadan heritage had to be running on empty by then. Hard to imagine how our favorite ranger would have faired if he'd have been forced to fight the Wraiths again.

Lovely drabble! Really conveys Glorfindel's grandeur and the intensity of the altercation at the Ford. Very vivid and descriptive.

A lovely drabble, it is very interesting to see what Aragorn is thinking. I like the poetic language and especially all the imagry of light.

Good emotion in this drabble. Aragorn's relief is easy to feel and is conveyed well. I love that this drabble spans the course of several days but doesn't make it feel forced. It's just one long spell of relief. Nicely written.

This lovely piece catches Aragorn's thoughts at the Ford in language which echoes Tolkien's poetry and formality. It sounds like Aragorn, not some cut-rate twenty-first century subsititute. Excellent.
