Oh. Poor Witch King! He really should have gotten some additions to that prophecy!

I absolutely loved this story. When Tolkien first mentions Glorfindel's prophecy about "no living man," this was actually something I thought about. I mean, there are quite a few non-living non-men type things wandering around the LotR universe, and it's really only a matter of time before some of them meet up with the Witch-king. Bringing all these characters in one at a time was a great touch, and the last line about the eagles had me rolling on the floor. Great wordplay.

An interesting thought and a definite chuckle, I can just see the evil witch king surrounded by Peter Jackson's fellowship, minus the men of Gondor and cowering. Although it is an au ficlet it was quite a fun read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very cute. I never had thought of how many people could have killed old WiKi.

This was a lovely idea. I had always wondered why Glorfindel hadn't gone after the Witch-king all those years ago when he was so handy as he wasn't a man. I really like the way the author uses so many characters to give the Witch-king his comeuppance.

Quite an interesting idea, and very bad luck for the Witch King!

Well that certainly left me laughing. Quite a few enemies fit the bill, didn't they. That prophet really should have been more specific, huh?
