This is a heartfelt beautifully written vignette of Frodo's life on Tol Eressea. Specifically Frodo explores the ocean with Gildor at his side. There's something so peaceful about this story in the way it evokes the shore and the ocean. Claudia's attention to sensory details is what makes the piece sing to me--the texture of the sand and how the foam breaks on the shore ... the exotic and brightly colored fishes when Frodo explores a cove and the smoothness of the water compared to the waves. I can just about smell the sea smell when I read this fic.

The imagery in this is absolutely gorgeous - Claudia's given us a lovely friendship fic in which Frodo and Gildor have become friends in Tol Eressea and are going swimming. She paints a vivid word-painting that calls to mind beautiful tropical islands and hidden coves and beaches. Lovely!

Beautiful description of the sea and sand; I especially liked the way the waves were described in their changeability. I loved Frodo's comparison between Elves and the sea - very insightful and thought-provoking. Just a lovely, gentle story of a day at the beach. Very relaxing to read, actually *g*!

A lovely vignette about a day by, and in the sea, in Paradise, for Frodo and Gildor - not slashy, just friends savoring the pleasures of the ocean and new experiences in Valinor. The descriptions of the coral reef, and Frodo's delight in the waves, are wonderful.
