I am not normally a big fan of poetry, AT ALL. HOWEVER, this was fun!! I truly enjoyed it, The rhythm fell nicely and the rhymes well done. A truly enjoyable read. The score thrown in occasionally was fantastically done. Added so much to the suspense of it. Poor legolas. beaten by a dwarf. Do you think he won at any of the other battles? Perhaps you should do accounts of those as well! Plot Chickens abound!

"Casey at the Bat" is one of my all-time favorite poems, and this is a good parody of it. It chronicles nearly all of Helm's Deep and still manages to get in the essential lines that made "Casey" so great. A particular favorite of mine was, " 'Arr! howled the maddened Uruks, and the echo answered 'Arr!' " Nice adaptation.

Oh now this is just priceless. I remember the cartoons Disney did of Casey at the Bat, and I could hear the whole thing in that voice as I read this. Well done to put these two unlikely contests into contact, Celtic Bard.

Sadly I don't know the original that this parodies, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. A delightful romp, well put together and very funny. A bit cheeky to call the elf, "Lego" but I guess we're all informal here!

A very funny parody, well-done, and perfectly in canon.
