Aragorn definitely feels as though he is coming of age, and I like the feeling this drabble creates. Almost as though it's poised on the brink of something great but has yet to take the first step. That's more or less where Aragorn is, too, but the talk of endless paths and of preparation makes it come alive for the reader. Good mood work.

I think what I like most about this drabble is the way it draws the connection between Aragorn and Arnor. We don't know much about it, but I'm sure that would be Aragorn's first priority, and tha Gondor would only come later. This is a very noble motivation for leaving Rivendell, and it's really well-told.

A very itnersting view of Aragorn's thoughts as he finds out how he is. It is intersting to see how quickly you have him accepting his fate and realising at least some of the immediate concequsnces of it.

Succinct. I particularly liked the turn of phrase about Imladris: "All the same, yet everything changed in a mere hour."
