No one writes about the Stewards of Gondor with as much sympathy as Agape. Her depiction of Faramir here is so true to the character and true to life. An anniversary comes, one that has meaning only to Faramir, yet it is no less an important anniversary than others that are associated with the Ring War. Agape’s handling of Faramir’s sense of isolation from friends and loved ones is beautifully done and the ending is sweet. Well done!

Such a sad story - it brought tears to my eyes. Agape describes this little scene so well. A reader can feel how close brothers were and how much Boromir meant to Faramir. And I must add that I agree with Ioreth: [Gondor was indeed in good hands.] Well done.

Grief can come to us at odd moments, and so it is when Faramir realizes that it is exactly a year since he last saw his brother.

A touching story in which Pippin and Aragorn try to comfort Faramir when he recalls the last time he saw Boromir.
