Very nice exploration of how Boromir might have offered his fealty to Aragorn after the War. Very short, but the feelings of loyalty and pride on both the brothers' parts is wonderfully shown. And I loved Aragorn saying "justice" instead of "vengeance".

The substituted oath makes for an excellent scene, a transformation that affects all three men involved, Aragorn, Boromir, and Faramir. It breaks this AU free of what might've been an encombering reliance on what's given, and makes this scene and the original scenes of stewardly oath-taking, feel fresh again.

A very lovely, very feasible AU vision of what might have been, as Lord Steward Boromir swears fealty to his King, to the loving admiration of his brother. Simple, yet very reminisicent of the Professor's writing.

Together these form a very nice portrait, easily and gracefully told. Boromir's 'conversion' is cleanly and convincingly told, Faramir's perceptiveness - an often forgotten facet - a nice touch here.

You tell a lot about Gondor in the fourth age through the change of the oaths. If Boromir had lived, I like to think this is how he might have related to Aragorn.
