I liked this very much for a number of reasons. I like the glimpse that AprilKat gives us into Rosie's mind and the hints of what Rose must have endured during the occupation of the Shire by Saruman and the ruffians. I also like the glimpse of a deep friendship between Rose and Frodo, and her care and concern for him. The bit of information she give him for comfort at the end felt real and honest to me. Beautifully done.

Beautifully touching. Rosie is such a strong voice in this author's hands, and provides an intimate account of not only Frodo's sufferings, but how they affect the people around him. Additionally, there is a poignant beauty in Rosie and Frodo sharing secrets, he in hiding his ailments, and she in giving him back some small measure of hope and health. Wonderfully done.

Oh, I love that ending - Rosie revealing her little secret! That would indeed give Frodo some strength to hold on to. I'm glad she was there for him, even if he didn't want his Sam to be bothered. Bless her.

Rosie is willing to keep Frodo's secret from Sam--IF he will accept a secret she's not yet shared with another. And it appears that this secret will help him hold on--at least for a time. Sweet and gentle as Rosie herself, this is a nice gem of a tale.
