Oops. Well, better late than never, I suppose. But a "thank you" is in order for the characterization of Faramir, who almost never fails to see the bigger picture. And in that, I guess that Boromir WAS fortunate. He died honorably, and his last words were heard. That says something, even if Elrond was in possession of his charm at the time.

I liked this drabble a lot, and not just because I'm a Boromir fan. It handled changes in feeling, reactions, and interplay very nicely and subtely, and I liked that Elrond was interested, that Faramir's first reaction was to laugh, and that Boromir here was a little superstitious like any other soldier.

This isn't a character pair you see interacting very nice, and they were both well characterised here. I especially like that Faramir had wisdom of his own, even when around a wise being like Elrond.

A thought proviking drabble. There seem to be questions unanswered .. especially why Elrond had the medalion - does this mean that Boromir had left it in Rivendell orsomething. This certainly leaves things to think over.

I love Elrond's grave courtesy, and Faramir's fond and wise reaction.
