Summary: In the aftermath of Celebrian's departure, despair takes many forms.

I very much enjoyed reading this story, telling of everyone's grief at Celebrian's sailing to the West and how each try to deal with it in their own way. Hardest of all was for Erestor, who tried to not only deal with Celebrian leaving but also trying to provide a sense of normality to a household that otherwise would have fallen into shambles, only in the end to falter under the burden. I liked how this was an introspective piece, written from Glorfindel's point of view, with the only dialogue being at the end.

Absolutely heart-wrenching - the grief that all the characters feel in this is almost like a living thing, like a character separate in itself.

Considering the line about despair in the summary, I found this story deeply heartwarming and sweet!

This was beautiful-brief and lyrical. Celebrian's absence overlays the whole piece, but there is also hope as two souls find each other through the despair.

Appreciate the quality of writing but for anyone lacking background there is simply not enough here to understand the story.
