Legolas has made allies among Glorfindel's men, but will their support and his Lord's obvious love for him be enough to sway the hearts of most of the inhabitants of the valley of Imladris? An absolutely wonderful beginning to the next story in the incredible 'Anestel' series. This story has grown so much, come to encompass such passion, sadness, erotica and pure emotion that it is impossible to describe all the feelings this reader has been subject to. In this story Legolas returns to Imladris as Glorfindel's betrothed, not as the virtual bed-slave he was before he left. His time in Lothlórien changed so many things, and he came to know that he was loved, more adored. But Legolas is still so incredibly fragile that it will take a very long time before he grows into the Elf of the Lord of the Rings. Glorfindel too has changed, perhaps at this time, he has indeed changed the most, or regained the openness and generous love he was capable of when he was younger. This is the Glorfindel who is truly 'an Elf Lord of a House of Princes,' still arrogant and powerful, but in a way far more spiritual in his deeply sensual love. The way that Esteliel can write BDSM Sub/Dom as something beyond the physical, with such depth and beauty is something that completely astonishes me and makes me truly envious. It is truly how this genre and subject ought to be written, superbly erotic, yet touching a place far beyond the body. She shows that Elves have to be body and soul, not one or the other, but gloriously both, and in time I believe that Legolas will know that and grow into a fully rounded character who knows his own strengths, which are already far more than he believes.

This story is a continuation of the Anestel series and it begins where Cuil Eden ended. Returning from Lothlorien -- and also escorting Arwen home to Imladris -- Legolas is now betrothed to Glofindel, and Glorfindel can now see glimpses of the man Legolas will become -- if he is given the chance. Since news of their betrothal arrives before they did, their arrival in Imladris is greeted with very mixed feelings by Elrond and the othe residents, and not all of them are friendly to the couple.
