I'm torn bewtween wanting to shake Erestor and wanting to push GLorfindel into his room to see him write the letters! I wonder if Glorfindel would give up on his attachment to Elrond if he knew how Erestor felt?

This one is sad and heart wrenching, something that Oak is very good at. I can feel Erestor's pain and sorrow. Tears welled in my eyes as I read it.

A story of unrequited love - Glorfindel for Elrond and poor Erestor for his golden friend - it is sad, haunting, and beautifully written. Erestor struggles night after night to come to terms with his tragic past and to tell his friend of the love he holds for him. If only he could overcome his fear, the two might find happiness. There are two other stories in this series, I would love to see a third that would possibly bring the two together.

To think Erestor was a tormented soul, but the depth of his agony resonated here. The most impressive thing, though, wasn't his pain. It was his love. I believed completely the depth of his love, mostly because of this line: "He would have given as much for Elrond to love Glorfindel as he would have for Glorfindel to love him." That is not a selfish emotion. What's depicted here is something beautiful.
