Summary: Someone who is no longer fair, but wise, brave, and true, wins the affections of a dashing young rake one Middle-Earth springtime. Okay, they're horses...Written for a "Mary Sue" original female character challenge. An original female horse character gets paired with Arod, making this the horse equivalent of a Legomance. I wouldn't take this too seriously. Tally ho!

There's something wonderfully irreverent about this tale. I loved it immediately. Mary Sue indeed! She is that, but she's a Sue I can like. And Arod was superb. The pairing between the horses was very akin to many of the Legolas and Mary Sue pairings, and I found myself clutching my sides in places. No, this is definitely not a "serious" tale but I found I liked it much more than many of the "serious" tales out there in the romance genre. Poor Elrohir and poor Elladan. I really want to listen in on whatever chat they have with Legolas after this. Thank you for such original work!

I'll give Tyellas props for originality here! This was funny and yet very realistic - the horses stayed true to how I imagine them, as did the elves and half-elves. I liked it.

This one is a simple delight. We have met the horses before in Tyellas' work but this one is just purely wonderful.

This is just a delightful story. Irreverent, yet entirely too plausible, here we have "the older woman" scenario played out with wit and levity in this tale of horsey courtship. The interfering busibodies' (i.e., the Twins) priceless reaction is a fitting captstone.
