I have read this story several times and every time, I cry my eyes out. Both characters are so likable and so sweetÂ… meeting and becoming friends. I love Rumil's boldness and Theodred's shyness and one has to love grumpy Haldir. There is not enough Theodred fic out there. The ending to this one will bring a tear to the hardest of hearts I think. I count it among my favorite stories!

Larian is another of my favourite writers, and this story, I believe, is one of her best. Who could not fall in love with Rumil and Theoden in this tale of a raging storm that changes the lives of two persons caught up in it. Rumil is swept down river and separated from his brother Haldir, only to be rescued by Theodred, prince and son of King Theoden. The few days they spend together, alone, sees not only a blossoming friendship, but a love that will last through the ages. The ending is sad and moving and cannot be read without tears. A lovely story, romantic, bittersweet and poignant; I highly recommend it.
