A fun and unusual crossover. It brings back fond memories of one of my favorite old shows.

While this story has some of the fun of Hogan's Heroes and mixes some of the seriousness of LOTR, it also packs some truthful history in a fairly short package. I was impressed with the tidbits of historical knowledge that showed through the story, and also the development of the HH characters. Not having seen Newsies, I can't comment on those much. I'm impressed that S.A. Rose could keep the Fellowship in character in such a setting. I especially liked Legolas, of course, and Merry. This is Book!Merry who impressed me with his quick thinking and sharpness. Way to go!
