This is a very touching, poignant look at the thoughts and emotions that had to have stormed through Elrond and Galadriel as they prepared to leave for Valinor. Partings are always wrenching and this fic shows well the sorrow and uncertainty that both Peredhel and Elf must have felt. Added as almost a bonus are the thoughts of Elladan and Elrohir. I've often wondered what their choices were, as we don't really have firm canon on that, and this fic leaves it wonderfully open-ended as well. Very enjoyable read.

This story does a nice job of exploring the final departure of the elves from several points of view. I appreciate the way that the narration moves from one character to the next, providing the reader with a patchworked sense of the emotions and issues of the era. The scene between Celeborn and Galadriel was particularly well done.

Short, sweet, and sad, as seems appropriate for the departure of the elven Ringbearers. I liked the way that the sundering of families was brought in - the time of transition and of choices is a difficult time for everyone.

This is a very thoughtful piece, as everyone bids farewell to those who sail West. The parting of Celeborn and Galadriel is particularly poignant. Very nicely done!

An interesting mixture of book- and movie-verse as we see those who shall sail upon this voyage prepare for partings in this world.
