Oh, this is a delightful drabble, with wonderful characterisations of Bilbo, Frodo, Merry and especially Pippin. Aranel Took has perfectly captured the happy pleasure of telling scary tales in the security of home, and managed to pull off the difficult trick of being charming without stooping to sentimentality. The dialogue sparkles, and the descriptions are vivid. I especially liked the touch of a sleepy Merry tweaking Pippin's toes! Well done.

Poor sweet little Pippin, little did any of them realize what dragons he would face before too long. Very good job of showing his persistent personality in this short piece.

Nicely leaves one chuckling, and so very true to life. Little ones love stories over and over again.

What an adorable little story. It made me smile when I visualized the scene. I love dragons, so I'd also want to hear a story about them.
