Somehow I appear to have reviewed each of the three poems in this series in order, and I am glad of it. We know that in the movies it was decided to portray the hold of the Ring on Frodo as a form of addiction, a relationship too many nowadays can appreciate first hand. And as the parent to a recovering addict this is a situation I have observed too closely. This advice offered to I suppose Frodo as he awakens from his healing sleep but that could also be offered to Gollum is sage, and I can imagine Aragorn and Gandalf and the great Elves all murmuring these lines in Frodo's ear. I love the support so freely offered.

Another wonderful poem about the horrible torment of being a Ring-bearer, yet laced through as the others were with counsel and hope as to how to overcome such terrible lust. Powerfully done. I wish more would be written like this!
