Merry Waits is a beautiful character study. Dreamflower's examinations of his mind is lyrical and stunning. The Hobbit's thoughts here are well-expressed and emotionally appropriate.
Author response: Thank you so much! Merry's character is a beautiful one to examine!

Iââ¬â¢m in awe of Dreamflower for writing such a moving poem within the challenging technical constraints of this poetry form. The complex repetition of the key words effectively conveys Merryââ¬â¢s roller coaster of emotions in the final days of the war.
Author response: Thank you so much! Sestinas are a challenge, but I do enjoy writing them. And of course, Merry really was on an emotional roller-coaster, poor dear!

An interesting and emotional poem, well crafted, on Merry's thoughts about war, battle, the quest, and the fate of his friends. Well done.
Author response: Thank you very much! It is always good to know that I've managed to get the emotion across in a poem!
