This is no ordinary comic piece. I knew if from the moment I read the sign above Elrond's door. You could have taken the easy route and called it an intricately carved sign (haven't most of us use that cliché at least once in our writing career? I know I certainly have--blushing). But no! You are nothing if not original and creative; you use an ["elegantly carved sign gracing Elronds office door"]. This is the parody that the ubiquitous genre of Elrond, Erestor, and Glorfindel fics set in Rivendell deserve. This is hilarious. Well done. I really do think that you need to write more comedy. You make me want to try. I have done broad humor, but stopped short of full all comedy. This story is an inspiration. Thanks for sharing it with us here. The pacing is great and the title is a classic.

Yessss. There have been a lot of stories set in Imladris with Elrond having to deal with the ridiculous antics of Glorfindel and Erestor, either separately or together, and this piece does a hilarious job of turning the tables on all that and on them. Elrond as a ZZ Top wannabe was hysterical which Celebrian pretty much must have been by that stage. I loved the rather frantic exchanges between Erestor and Glorfindel and their final departure was one I could see clearly, rather as though someone had drawn a graphic novel for me. But why do I get the feeling Elrond is watching from his window as they make their run for it, and hes taken off the fake beard and hes smiling? Very good.

This made me laugh. It is tremendously funny, and quite a different take on the usual dynamics in the house of Elrond. The mental image of Elrond wearing a long, white beard made from poor Asfaloth's tail is going to stick with me for a long time!

I most definitely laughed out loud a number of times while reading this tale! The discussion between Erestor and Glorfindel about the incident with Galadriel's mirror was particularly splutter-inducing -- fortunately, my computer screen was saved by the quick swallowing of my coffee. Very clever and extremely funny!

It's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when Glorfindel opened the story by wondering when Elrond had become [THE Noldo] and whether a mass exodus had taken place that had deprived Imladris of other Noldor. Something about the very literal nature of that observation cracked me up, and the rest of the story followed suit. This thing needs a drink warning.

When Elrond indicates "The Noldo is In," it is time for everyone else to check out. A wonderful bit of black humor as we see Glorfindel and Erestor reacting to Elrond's depiction of ZZ Top! Definitely cute!

Well, this was a hoot! Cat takes the popular Elrond-Glorfindel-and-Erestor motif in fan fiction and turns it on its head and spins it around for good measure. From [...getting images of a bus station mens room in someplace called New Jersey] (which sent me over the edge -- probably along the Jersey Turnpike) to the wonderful homage to ZZ Top, [The Noldo is IN] is hilarious.

This is absolutely delightful, and some of it had me cackling out loud and making my family start to wonder about my sanity. What a delightful romp!

Be warned not to have liquids in your mouth when reading this, or you too may discover just how painful it is to have Diet Coke come out of your nose. Absolutely hilarious!

A funny and rather wacky story of Elrond discovering his inner rock star; much to the horror of Glorfindel and Erestor. Brazen and imaginative.
