Very nice. I never thought much about this topic, how Elves became Orcs, before I stumbled across Sulriel's story. I found the torture, bloodlust, etc., to be well-handled. While the piece was definitely adult, the adult parts were not just put in to excite but had a real place in the story. Sulriel also helped me, not a huge fan of the Silmarillion, gain a glimpse into the First Age. This piece was highly enjoyable, and I really am glad I read it.

Sulriel writes a whole Orc culture. Though the story itself seems to need still some pruning the description of the culture is done very well. Until now I have not seen such a detailed description of Orc culture feeling real to boot. The captured Elf not twisted into an Orc but allowing herself to morph into a Orc soldier due to a fierce will of survival and her adaptation to Orc culture is written believable.

a pretty good story, there were a few bits where it was a little hard to follow, but it left me wanting to know more...a lot more. The ideas on orc culture were interesting, i really liked it.
