Oh! I can so see that. And yes! Poor Goldberry! I always skip that part in the book...*blush*

I didn't even know that Silmfic humour existed before I read this piece, and now I can hardly read the Silmarillion without having sillymarillion thoughts. A wonderful romp, from beginning to end.

Hilarious! Poor CelebrĂan. I never thought what not having another name might mean to her! Still, Idril is right. Being named after one's feet is probably not the greatest compliment. And alas poor Goldberry. I always knew there was something off about that relationshipÂ…

This is one of my favorite comic pieces. Smart, witty, and merciless. I am particularly fond of the lines '"You don't have much to say today, Undomiel."/ Arwen, her face serene, continued her neat, practised little stitches in a soft black material. "Of course not," she said. "Aragorn is perfect." /"So is Tuor," said Idril, and the two shared a smug, conspiratorial look of Elves who wed with Edain." It's probably the Edain-centric fangirl in me that can't resist the jab at the Elves, but it is just one great set of lines in a fic that should have any reader with a modicum of humor laughing fit to choke. Ending on Goldberry's misfortunate to put matters into perspective was brilliant. I salute you!

Oh dear, and Elven quilting circle. I do like to think of the Elves as being a bit, well, higher than that, but it does make for quite a humorous story. Understated in it all are what each of the Elves is sewing, each fits the one doing the sewing very well.

Very funny! "Illuvatar knows we didn't need any more magical jewellery in Arda." I got a good chuckle out of that, not to mention the fact that Galadriel crocheted "yards" of white lace! LOL! Talking about overachievers...
