Summary: Someone was cheeky enough to send several things into Ardaâ⬦ What would its inhabitants say and do about it? ââ¬â Ficlets with a totally unserious approach on modern items or gadgets popping up during the First Age of the Sun in Arda. (Guess what those are!)

HAHA! I really did like that especially chapters 1 and 2 and, oh what the hay I loved all of them :) Although number 2 has to be my favourite so far. I can see it in my minds eye right now - Luthien randomly cycling along while orcs, elves and the odd human stop and stare as she passes. You are really funny and I'm writing this with a massive smile on my face right now! Thanks for the story, Caunedhiel

Ah! What is it, indeed? LOL! And just how did these mysterious items find their way into Middle-earth, hmm? One must assume that Eru Iluvatar was in a playful mood when these items showed up when they did, either that or it was a slow day in the Timeless Halls and he was feeling bored. An amusing set of ficlets and Earille does a good job of choosing the most appropriate person or persons to encounter a particular object so that it ââ¬Åfeelsââ¬Â right. Sure to garner a chuckle or two.

What fun! A set of rather surreal riddles as various famous denizens of Arda find and explore artifacts from our time and world. Guessing the answer is not made difficult, but what is fun is seeing such commonplace items through the eyes of those who would never have conceived of such things! I chuckled at each one.

This is a light-hearted and amusing piece which skilfully uses the "Martian" technique (as in Craig Raine's "A Martian Sends a Postcard Home"). It is fun to watch some of the more well-known Silmarillion characters trying to puzzle out pieces of modern technology. My favourite is the bit about Luthien riding a b***.
