This is a very sweet story! If it had happened I could see it happening just this way, lol! Aragorn is in wonderful character here and Angie has managed to keep him so throughout, despite the unfamiliarity of the situation in which he finds himself. I really enjoyed the descriptions of how small Frodo is in relation to the Ranger and how gentle Aragorn is with him. And I could just imagine Aragorn chiding Frodo about something fifty years later with I changed your nappy, young hobbit! I also liked the way that descriptions of Bilbos cooking were interjected, which added a further layer of hobbityness to the story. I thought that his character was very well written as well and the touch of wistfulness Bilbo showed over Primula was a subtle hint into a entirely different story altogether! Really enjoyable story Angie, thanks!

It is certainly fun (and oh so fluffy) to imagine Aragorn had met a wee Frodo! Poor Bilbo seems to have had a rough time! Oh my, Orc? Just what sort of stories has Bilbo been telling the baby? Enjoyable descriptions of Frodo: [His entire hand was about half the size of the baby hobbit]; [his face like a storm] But Aragorn saved the day a coming tooth *would* make anyone cranky. This had the most adorable images; Aragorn is already Frodos protector and remained so.

Ah, this one is fluff, but definitely the best quality of fluff available--vicuna-level fluff if there ever was such a thing! Wonderful and warm as we find a most unusual visitor, quietly slipping into the Shire so as to visit the Hobbit he first met when he was a child, suddenly charged with caring for Bilbo's other guest, one who will later hold no memories of this visit. Wonderfully warm and comforting; and the final image of the story is one that has me melting.

What a lovely, sweet, loving story! I love the playing peek a boo, the care given throughout and the ending! I wonder if Aragorn would remember this, fifty years later, at the Prancing Pony. :) What a great gift for them both to share this time together.

A meeting between a lonely ranger visiting a hobbit friend, and the baby who will someday grow up to be the Ring-bearer. Aragorn finds himself being charmed by Frodo Baggins, even when the lad is stormy and inclined to kick. He discovers the baby's problem and has a solution that soon has Frodo in a better frame of mind. Charming and heartwarming.

I'm not entirely sold on the premise, but it was much fun to just dispend disbelief for the duration of the story and chortle at the scenes described here. I especially loved just how flustered bachelor Bilbo was and how Aragorn quickly went into healer-mode to find a way to "deal" with the situation. And baby Frodo was adorable, I confess *g*.
