This was absolutely delightful. I so loved the fact that Finduilas is looking in the library. Great way to pass the day. And glad to know she might have had some nights that were 'interesting!' The worn shape that the book is in is telling in and of itself. And who needs language when there are skillful drawings. LOL I loved Denethor's sigh. I'm still laughing as I think of it. Score one for Finduilas.

It seems I've read a lot of stories in the last year or so dealing with that most secret lore -- given medieval history, I'm sure there would have been just such a book. And having recently written my own Finduilas as a young bride, I really like this image of her voraciousness. It's just how I imagined her. Brilliant! Really, a very nice read, lighthearted and erotic all at the same time.

Even in such a short piece, Astara paints a wonderful, lighthearted picture of Denethor and Finduilas' characters, through Finduilas' sly playfulness and Denethor's reaction to her reading material, as well as his final sigh. The references to the book's origins and its current condition only make this little glimpse more amusing. A clever drabble that won't disappoint!

This drabble made me chuckle slyly. Human nature never changes, does it? The story could be about any couple viewing erotic art, which is not a bad thing. The brief mention of the couple's Numenorean ancestors bring the reader back to Tolkien's world.

A nice giggle to think that Denethor might have been embarrassed to find his wife reading an ancient manual of certain--activities! Wonderful!

Cute, apt, and very much in character for Denethor. I'm sure that many wives, husbands, and teenagers studied this kind of lore with great diligence!
