For all of Haldir's supposed arrogance, (I know, it's probably fanon), he certainly did not seem to begrudge helping the Rohirrim at all. I don't think he thought the price was too high, either. I think he, like many of the elves were willing to pay it.

Lovely story about the sacrifices of those who die for the freedom of others. A fitting story for a Memorial Day challenge.

Sad and poignant tale of Legolas and Aragorn's visit to Haldir's grave. Helm's Deep stories are always tearful and this one is no exception. Khylea gives honour to Haldir, a warrior who put other's freedom before his own life, as his friends honour one of his his last requests.
