The trees of Fangorn are certainly full of surprises, as Gimli might say! This was an enjoyable vignette. A little bit sad, but with humorous touches, and one thinks that perhaps Eldarion has found a reason to stay on just a little bit longer.

Another tearful story, it spans from Eldarion's childhood to his old age and even though it seems to dwell on loss and sorrow, it really is about what the name suggests remembrance. A lovely story.

A very tender story of the friendship formed between those of the fellowship. How lovely it was represented by a glade of trees planted by Legolas as a remembrance of such bond. And how fitting thatEldarion finds the same solace and peace long after his friends and parents have left Middle-earth. He learns that withdrawal is not always the answer to sorrow. Lovely story.
