The ending of this drabble was wonderful, both for its phrasing and its play on words. Passed, not past. There's a big difference in there, and it feels as though Arwen realizes this, especially when she goes back to memories of Celebrian's lessons for help in singing Celebrian's song. The lessons themselves are also very fitting. The song will be different depending upon the singer, and knowing this, who better to sing than Celebrian's daughter? I love the idea of this being a tribute, and I love the song that comes out and its metaphors of silver, leaves, and flame. There are echoes for all the varied parts of Celebrian's ancestry in that, and the notion that these echoes form an image is brilliant. Thank you so much for this amazing tribute to both Celebrian and to Arwen.

Wow... That was just so emotional. It was so unusal - a very different scene to what one normally sees with Arwen. It was so visual and evocative - you just wanted to reach out and hold her. Her pain just jumped out at you with every new word.

Lovely, very mysterious and elvish. The singer as soothsayer indeed -- how better to remember the mother she will never see again. Very evocative with a minimum of words.
