Oh! Who would have thought? I sure hope Sam was hunky-dory in the morning!

Well, that was amusing. Cute commentary, if perhaps a bit much, on some of the more egregious modernisms one might find in LOTR fanfiction.

As one of those silly Americans who fights a losing battle against slang, I'm very fond of this fic. Lindelea shows an amazing ability to hunt down all those little less-than-Tolkien sayings that sneak into the stories. And having caught quite a few (and missed even more) in my own stories, I found it absolutely hilarious.

An interesting idea that was cute to read. I kept thinking that those who don't know Tolkien very well would benefit from this fic, especially in understanding that the characters just sound so silly saying things like "cutting a rug". I did think that it was a cute idea, the making them puke thing was a bit icky but all in all it was well rounded and entertaining.

As a beta from America living now in Britain, this story made me laugh long and hard! I spend quite a lot of time trying to keep slang, anachronisms, and inappropriate flora, fauna, and foods out of Middle-earth, and Lindelea hit my major peeves spot on with this! She has a marvelous sense of humour, and knows how to write a funny fic without going overboard.

I usually cringe at Americanisms in Lord of the Rings fanfiction, but here they are quite appropriate and very funny, and the author seems to have come up with every one imaginable here. A very funny idea, and the humour is maintained through several chapters. Not normally the kind of story I would chose to read, but this one made me laugh.

Cute, very cute. I find it hard to believe that Lindelea could keep coming up with these modern sayings (perhaps from several parts of the world) for 7 chapters, and oh, the preview!
