Interesting start. I'm a little surprised that Elrond and Earendil would seemingly forgive Maeglin so easily. I guess he'll have a lot of making up to do once they reach Valinor. Great so far.

This is an enjoyable tale, I especially enjoy seeing Elrond and Earendil playing Monopoly. I hope to see it finished before too long.

This story caught my attention. Its style was unique and I have not read many stories with the present tense occurring in it as this one has. I feel in love with Maeglin, and I wanted to be Mandy. What would it be like to meet with that elf in a secret cave? Boy, I read this one in one sitting because I was so enthralled with the plot and wondered what was going to happen to those two characters. And I surely did not expect where she took it. Looking forward to reading more as it is updated.

This is an excellent alternative universe story of Maeglin's redemption in the present day. And unlike some stories that I have read involving a relationship between a Elf from Middle Earth and a present day girl, Maeglin's relationship with Mandy was both believable and touching. It was poignant to see how Maeglin was starved for contact with another living being after so many eons. After his actions at Gondolin, I had always viewed Maeglin as a selfish individual who only looked out for himself. Yet in the end, he proved that he had learned from his earlier mistakes. I liked that instead of having Mandy and Maeglin living happily ever after in present day Earth, he made the decision to return to Valinor and face all of those he killed by his actions.
