I love that last line. "Where we go now matters not, as long as we go there together." Gave me warm fuzzies for sure.

The last line of this fic is my favorite-( He takes my hand, leading me away from the courtyard with a knowing and gentle smile. Where we go now matters not, as long as we go there together. ) Larien's description of the first kiss is wonder and well done. I like first person POV and the writer does this well too.

I admire Larien's writing and this vignette written from Ecthelion's POV about his feelings for his friend and soon-to-be lover is no exception. One can feel the brashness of Ecthelion's personality as he is determined to make his desire known. The two captains of Gondolin, both to be steeped in legend, caught up in the moment of their first kiss. Short, sweet, with a memorable last line.
